Motions on the duty judge motion docket shall be set electronically by going to the motion docket calendar. This online motion docket calendar will show all the appointments that are currently scheduled. 

You will use this calendar to determine and coordinate available dates and times with the parties prior to scheduling. After determining the available date and time, complete the duty judge hearing request form​ below and submit it via email to Dutyjudg@vbgov.com.

You will need to use the duty judge hearing request form. This form will need to be emailed to dutyjudg@vbgov.com. Please use the motion docket calendar instructions below to look for an available time slot.

The duty judge hearing request form will be reviewed upon receipt. If in compliance with the Court’s procedures, you will receive an email confirmation from Webex with your connection information instructions and the judicial assistant will print a copy of the duty judge hearing request form for the case file. 

If there are any problems or issues with your request, you will be notified accordingly. If you do not receive your confirmation or have questions, please email us at dutyjudg@vbgov.com before your hearing.

Step 1

Check the calendar via "motion docket calendar" or click on Calendar below to log in and ​determine available dates and times. You will be re-directed to ChaosHost.com and see a username and login on the top right of the page.

You will be able to see all the appointments that are currently scheduled. You will use this calendar to determine and coordinate available dates and times with the parties prior to scheduling. Appointments are scheduled from 2:15-5 p.m. for a maximum of one hour. Appointments can be scheduled in time slots that do not currently have something scheduled.

Step 2

After determining the available date and time, submit the hearing request form via email Dutyjudg@vbgov.com. After receipt of the email, the judicial assistant will review it and send confirmation to you.
